El otro día estaba visitando a Jenny en su blog Jenny Australian Needleart Journey. Y qué grata sorpresa al saber que me había otorgado este Premio. GRACIAS JENNY !! The other day I visited Jenny at her blog Jenny Australian Needleart Journey ,and I had a great surprise, she granted me this award. THANK YOU JENNY!! Terminé las bolsitas de hierbas aromáticas, las llené con lavanda y están listas para el cajón de mis sábanas. Creo que voy a hacer más para regalar el Día de San Valentín. I finished the aromatic herb sachets, they rare filled with lavender and they are ready to put them in drawer, with my sheets. I think I will make more, it is a great gift for Valentine's Day.

Espero que tengan un FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!! Este año me trajo muchas satisfacciones: creé este blog, a través de éste conocí mucha gente e hice amistad con ellas, abrí mi tienda on-line.

Mi Bisabuela / My great-grandmother

No saben la grata sorpresa que tuve ayer al enterarme que publicaron esta foto de mi bisabuela Francisca Roldán de Galván, en el periódico La Gaceta. Para ilustrar una nota de la Randa Tucumana. Creo que en ese entonces ella tendría unos 70 años.

Mi primer paño / My first mat

En estos días estuve dedicada casi exclusivamente al encaje de bolillos. Quería terminar este trabajo, para mi primer paño. Los puntos que aprendí aquí son: pie de puntilla (la parte recta de la puntilla), punto araña simple y punto pluma. Ahora sólo falta unirlo a la tela. I was dedicated to the bobbin lace, this days.I wont to finish this lace for my first mat. The stitches I learned here are: cloth footside, simple spider and part twisted fan headside. Now I have to attach the fabric. Y estas son dos puntillas cortas de 5 cm y 6 cm de ancho, hechas en randa para mi próximo proyecto.Una de ellas tiene tres perlas. And this are two shorts laces of 2" and 2 1/4", made in randa for my next project. One of them has beads.

Mariposas / Butterflies

Hace tiempo que les quería mostrar esta randa rectangular que tejió mi tía María. Como ven, no sólo se hacen bordados geométricos. Ella le bordó unas mariposas y flores que quedaron muy lindas. Esta randa mide 39 cm. de ancho y 54 cm. de largo. Espero que a ustedes también les guste. En esta foto se ve un poquito mejor, el día no ayudó mucho, estuvo nublado. I want to show you this rectangular randa, it was made by my aunt María. As you see, the embroidery is not only geometric in this kind of lace. She embroidered butterflies and flowers and they look very pretty. The randa lace measures 16" of width by 21" of length. I hope that you like it too.
