Una puntilla más / Another lace trim

Aquí les muestro la última puntilla que hice.

Here I want to show you the last lace trim I made.

Tejí y bordé esta punilla como parte de un encargo para ser enviado a Francia, como parte de un regalo para un bebé.

I did net this trim for an order to be send to France as a present to a new born.

Volví / I'm back !

Hace tanto tiempo que no publico, la verdad que pasaron tantas cosas. Mi hijo que comenzó la escuela, yo encontré un trabajo de medio tiempo y dediqué más tiempo al scrapbook (otra de mis pasiones)

Mejor les muestro mi último ejercicio de randa ,digo "ejercicio" por que este tipo de punto mi abuela no me enseñó (decía que era muy difícil para yo aprenderlo en mis primeras clases,pasaron los años y nunca me lo enseñó). Después de practicar y tomar notas creo que no pasará mucho tiempo para hacer otra puntilla de este tipo.

It is true, long time pass before this post, so many things happened around here.My son started school, I have a part time job and I dedicated more time to my scrapbook projects.

Better show you my last exercise, yes,"exercise" because my grandma didn't show me how to net this stitch (she said that it was to difficult for me to do it ,the time pass and she never though it to me).After practice and notes I think I will do it again soon.

Mi último ejercicio / My last exercise

Si, este es mi último ejercicio de encaje a bolillos, en Buckpoints. Lo hice con hilo de algodón no. 50.

This is my exercise of bobbin lace, in Buckpoints. I made it with cotton thread no. 50.

La terminé ayer / I finished it yesterday

Por fin terminé este proyecto,una toalla de lino. Ya tenía la tela y no me animaba a hacer nada hasta saber bien el punto de incrustación,que se usa para unir encaje a una tela. Mi abuela nunca supo que existía esto (supongo) y yo lo aprendí del Encaje a Bolillos.

Finally I finished this project, a linen towel. I had this fabric and I just needed a bit of experience with the special stitch to add lace to a fabric. My Grandmother didn't know about this stitch (I think) and I learned from the Bobbin Lace.

Este es un detalle, espero que puedan ver el punto.

Hace más de una semana que terminé esta puntilla blanca. Disculpen, estoy un poco atrasada en mis posts. Además estoy tejiendo y haciendo encaje a bolillos. Siempre me engancho con algo más.

More than a week ago I finished this white point lace. Forgive me because I'm a little behind with my posts. And I'm knitting and making bobbin lace. There is always something more tempting to do.

Usé hilo de algodón blanco no. 40. Después de contar y contar puntos, pude bordar este dibujo geométrico.

I used cotton thread no. 40. After a while counting stitches, I design this geometric embroidery.

De mi abuela / From my grandmother

Buscando unos hilos encontré este tesorito que tengo de mi abuela, un pañuelo hecho por ella hace unos 20 años aproximadamente. Como ven en esta foto el punto es bastante pequeño, y solo una esquina tiene un triángulo de randa.

Looking for some threads, I found this little treasure that I have from my grandmother, a handkerchief she had made 20 years ago approx. As you see in this picture the mesh is so small, and only one corner has the randa lace triangle.

La puntilla que tiene alrededor tiene sólo 1 cm. de ancho.

The point lace that it has around is 3/8" wide.

Y yo en qué me ocupo estos días?, en mi bordado en punto cruz.

Me gusta mucho este diseño de encaje. Todavía me falta bastante. Lo estoy bordando en lino 32 ct. con hilo blanco.

And what I do in this days?, in my cross stitch embroidery.

I like a lot lace design. I'm still have a lot to embroider.

I'm using white thread and 32 ct. Linen.

Y este es mi trabajo terminado de LHN "Curly Q Ewe".

Como notan las que ya lo conocen, cambié algunos colores.

Me encantan los trabajos de esta diseñadora, así que pronto buscaré otro para bordar.

I finished the LHN " Curly Q Ewe".

As you see, I changed some of the color floss.

I love the works of this designer, so I'll look for more to embroider.

Flores y chocolates/ Flowers and chocolate

Termine una de las puntillas que estaba bordando. Voy a tratar de prestar más atención al diseñar el bordado de la otra, ya que no estoy muy conforme con el resultado de ésta. Aunque ahora que la terminé, veo que tuve un poco de influencia del encaje a bolillos, no te parece?

I finished one of the point lace. I'll try to pay more attention at the creation of the design for the other piece of lace, because I'm not to happy with the result of this one. Although, now that I finish it, I see that I had influence of the bobbin lace, don't you think?

Me llegó mi regalo del Intercambio ( Swap) que organizó Nina en su blog. Un lindo pinkeep ,chocolate y una pulsera hecha por Csilla . Visita su blog, tiene bellísimos trabajos en bijouterie.

Felices Pascuas !! / Happy Easter !!

Estuve un poco ausente de mi blog porque estuvimos un poco enfermos, mi hijo primero y después me tocó a mí. Pero ahora estamos mejor y lista para mostrarles más de mis trabajos. Este es un proyecto que hice para enseñar la técnica de Randa en el Creativ Festival 2008. No se los pude mostrar antes por asuntos de contrato. Pero aquí está.

I was away from the blog for a while because we had been sick, first my son and later myself.Today we are OK and ready to post.

This is a project I made to teach the Randa Technique at the 2008 Creativ Festival. I couldn't show it before, because of the contract. But here it is.

Es un pequeño alfiletero de madera y lino. El encaje está hecho, como siempre, en hilo de algodón.

A litle wooden Pin Cushion with linen. The lace is made, like always, with cotton thread.

Espero que les guste y ahora voy a contestar los e-mails que tengo pendiente. Gracias por estar del otro lado.

Finally I can show this pictures. It is my present for Baboo, in Hungary, it is part of a SWAP organised by Nina.

It is a pinkeep with a pocket for the scissor and a fob.

Por fin les puedo mostrar estas fotos de mi regalo para Baboo, de Hungría. Estoy participando de un Intercambio organizado por Nina.

Estoy muy contenta que a ella le guste !! Es un porta agujas con un bolsillo para la tijera y un fob para ponérselo a la tijera.

I made a piece of lace to embellish it.

Hice una pequeña puntilla para adornarlo un poquito.

One of this days I will make one for me, I glad with the result of this one.

Año nuevo,vida nueva! / New year, new life!

Sí, me decidí a cambiarle la cara al blog. Buscando y mirando llegué a Izzie Grace Blogs, donde ofrece diferentes modelos de fondo de página. Y aquí en Scrapblog, pude crear, con mis fotos, una nueva presentación. Yes, I decided to change the face's blog. Looking for something I did found Izzie Grace Blogs, she has different designs to use as backgrounds. Here at Scrapblog ,I created a new presentation with my own pictures. mmmmmmmmmmmmm Esta es la randa que terminé ayer. Esta foto la muestra todavía en el bastidor, donde la estiré para bordarla. This is the randa I finish yesterday. The photo show it in the loom, where I stretch it to embroider.

He combinado dos técnicas: encaje hecho en Randa y punto de incrustación que se usa en encaje a bolillos. En Randa se utiliza otro punto para unir el encaje a la tela. Y la tela casi siempre tiene forma rectangular o cuadrada. Planeo hacer varias randas con este diseño.

I combined two different techniques: Randa lace and Point Turc which is use in the Bobbin lace. Randa lace use other technique to attach fabric to the lace. And most of the time that fabric has square or rectangular shape. I plan to make more randa lace whit this kind of design.

La puntilla mide 4 cm. de ancho y en total la randa tiene un diámetro de 19 cm.

The point lace size is 1 1/2 in. and has 7 1/2 in. in diameter.

Terminé las bolsitas de hierbas aromáticas, las llené con lavanda y están listas para el cajón de mis sábanas. Creo que voy a hacer más para regalar el Día de San Valentín. I finished the aromatic herb sachets, they rare filled with lavender and they are ready to put them in drawer, with my sheets. I think I will make more, it is a great gift for Valentine's Day.

Espero que tengan un FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!! Este año me trajo muchas satisfacciones: creé este blog, a través de éste conocí mucha gente e hice amistad con ellas, abrí mi tienda on-line.
