Hace unos días que quiero mostrarles esta última randa. El bordado es muy simple, ya que tejí

dos círculos y luego los monté en este globo de vidrio, que me sirvió de "bastidor".

This is my last randa lace project. The embroidery is very simple, because I knotted two circles and after I sewed it together to this glass ornament, that I used to stretch it.

Ven la línea casi derecha del medio, bueno, esa es la costura que le hice para unir los dos círculos.

Ya que es mi primer adorno de este tipo, decidí bordarle algo fácil de hacer.

Can you see the line at the middle? That is the seam which I used to put the two circles.

I decided to embroiderer a simple design because is my first ornament of this kind.

Y este un chaleco que hice para mi "corazoncito" de 3 años. Usé lana Premium Llama (super suave) y lo tejí con agujas de 6 mm.

This is a vest that I made for my 3 years old "little heart". I used Premium Llama wool and I used 6mm. needles.

No, no me olvidé que tengo un blog.

Estuve un poco enferma y ahora le toca a mi nene .Tuvo un resfriado fuerte del que está saliendo lentamente.

I were a bit sick and now is my son's turn.

Y ya que comienza el mes de Diciembre,estoy preparando randas para adornar nuestro árbol.

Por eso esta vez la bordé con hilo dorado, para darle un toque más navideño.Esta es la primera vez que lo uso y no tuve ningún inconveniente.

Because December is here, I'm preparing randas to decorate the Christmas Tree.

I use gold thread to give it a holiday look. This is my first time I used this thread and it wasn't hard to work with.

Quiero agradecer a las personas que asistieron a mi clase "Lino y Encaje" en el Creativ Festival de Toronto.

Fue una gran experiencia, nos divertimos mucho.

En cuanto a mi visita al show, siempre con falta de tiempo para ver todo lo que quería ver. Pero aproveché e hice mis compras necesarias (como dice Georgina).

Volví a casa super motivada para seguir creando y aprendiendo nuevas técnicas.

I want to say Thank you to all the people who attend my class "Linen & Lace" at the Creativ Festival in Toronto.

It was a nice experience, we had fun.

About my visit to the show, I always need more time to see everything I want to see.

But I got the time to do my necessary shopping (as Georgina says).

I came home super motivated to create and learn more techniques.

I got tempted with this magazines of Quilt.

Estos aparatitos para hacer mis propias cintas al bies.

This bias tape maker to make my own.

Encontré este diseño de LHN "The Rain Fell". Y claro, no me pude resistir a estas tijeras con flores azules.

I found this LHN design,"The Rain Fell". And I coudn't resist to buy this scissors with blue flowers.

Y ya comencé a bordar. Este es mi avnce hasta ahora. También encontré esta lupa con pie, para poder trabajar de noche (que es cuando mi nene me deja) con trabajos pequeños. Me resultó muy cómoda y estoy trabajando mucho más rápido.

And I started to work .This is my progress until now. I found this magnifier glass on a base to do my work at night (when my son is sleeping) with small designs. It is so confortable to work with.

Azul / Blue

Estoy muy contenta con este Pinkeep. Elegí el color azul para hacer el encaje, como algunas ya saben, es uno de mis colores favoritos. El diseño del encaje es muy simple.

I'm happy with this Peen keep. I choose blue colour because is one of my favorites. The lace design is so simple.

A la cinta que usé para adornar este pinkeep, le bordé el punto inglés, para sujetarla .

To place the ribbon I just embroidered the herringbone stitch.

Le hice un bolsillo para guardar mis tijeras. Le bordé mis iniciales en punto cruz, mis primeros puntos 1 sobre 1. Me encantó !

I made a pocket for my scissors. I embroidered in cross stitch my initials, my first stitches 1 over 1. And I loved it !

Y aquí les dejo una pequeña muestra de lo que estoy diseñando ahora. Se me dió por probar este hilo dorado, para bordar este trabajo.Y nunca pensé que me daría tan buen resultado.

And here I want to show part of my next project. I wont to try this gold thread, to embroider this work. And never thought it could be this good.

Hace más de una semana que terminé esta puntilla blanca. Disculpen, estoy un poco atrasada en mis posts. Además estoy tejiendo y haciendo encaje a bolillos. Siempre me engancho con algo más.

More than a week ago I finished this white point lace. Forgive me because I'm a little behind with my posts. And I'm knitting and making bobbin lace. There is always something more tempting to do.

Usé hilo de algodón blanco no. 40. Después de contar y contar puntos, pude bordar este dibujo geométrico.

I used cotton thread no. 40. After a while counting stitches, I design this geometric embroidery.

Después de varias semanas de no haber hecho casi nada de encaje, hoy puedo mostrarles esto que tejí hace unos días.

After a few lazy weeks, today I can show you same lace I knitted in this days.

Esta es una puntilla de encaje a bolillos. Todavía tengo tanto que aprender de ésta técnica.

En la siguiente foto verán más en detalle este ejercicio.

This is a work in bobbin lace. I have to learn so much about this technique.

The following picture is a detail of this exercise.

Simetría / Symmetry

Así quedó la puntilla, el diseño que hice antes lo repetí en el otro lado, para formar una simetría.

I finished the point lace, the design that I did before, I embroidered it in the other side. To form a symmetry.

Aquí lo pueden ver en detalle. De largo mide 32 cm. y en el centro, la parte más ancha, mide 7 cm.

El hilo que usé es de elgodón. Cébélia n. 20 de DMC, color ocre.

Here you can see the detail. The long side is 13 in. and at the center almost 3 in.

The thread I use is cotton. DMC Cébélia n. 20, colour ecru.

Tuve una gratísima sorpresa de Adriana y Marisa. Ambas me otorgaron éste Premio en sus blogs.

I had a beautiful surprise from Adriana and Marisa. They gave me this Award at their blogs.

In process / En proceso

Me costó un poco decidirme qué bordar en esta puntilla. No quería nada geométrico.por eso lo dejé de lado por un tiempo y me dediqué a seguir con el álbum de fotos (scrapbook) de mi nene. Fue ahí donde esncontré inspiración y salió esto.

I had a little problem with the design for this point lace. I didn't want to do anything geometric. Because of that I leave it for a while and I made some pages of my little son's scrapbook . It was there where I fund inspiration and I made this.

Perdón por la foto no es muy buena.

Todavía me falta la otra mitad. Espero terminar pronto.

Hoy Punto Cruz / Today Cross Stitch

Estos son mis avances del SAL Beatrix Potter. Es super fácil, aunque me confundí varias veces y tuve que desarmar.

This are my new steps in the Beatrix Potter Sal. It is so easy to do, but I had to undo some of my mistakes.

Estuve como siempre, visitando otros blogs y me encontré con el blog de Rita que propone un juego. El día 17 de Julio sorteará algo hecho por ella. No dejen de visitarla en su blog, les va a gustar. A mí me vino muy bien, porque hace mucho quería hacer este proyecto para mis nuevas tijeras.

As usual, I was visiting others blogs and I fund Rita's blog. She has something for a giveaway, you just have to play a game.You have time until July 17. You can see her blog here.

For me her game was perfect, because I wont to make fob for my new scissors.

A pinkeep / Un pinkeep o alfiletero.

Hace unos días termine este pinkeep, hecho con una pequeña randa cuadrada. Le bordé un pajarito que encontré en una de mis viejas revistas de bordado. Sólo dibujé el contorno, con el mismo hilo con el que hice la malla o red, y después lo rellene con diferentes puntos.

A few days ago I finished this pinkeep, made with a small square randa. I embroidered a bird that I fund in one of my old magazines. I just follow the outline, with the same thread that I made the mesh, after I fill it with two different stitches.

Esta es la parte de atrás, pequeñas rosas, que me encantaron.

This is the back, with little's roses.

Y este es la foto de un detalle del moñito en cinta rosa. Primero hice el pinkeep y por separado la randa. Después sólo agregué el encaje con unas puntadas invisibles.

And this is a picture with a detail of the bun .First I made the pinkeep and later the randa . Then I just sew the lace with a few stitches.

Other kind of lace / Otro tipo de encaje

Ayer terminé este corazón en punto cruz. Es un diseño de Bleu de Chine. Esta es una foto donde quise mostrar el detalle del hilo metalizado que usé. Pero creo que no se ve mucho.

Yesterday I finished this heart in cross stitch. It is a Design of Bleu de Chine. In this picture I wont to show the detail of the metallic thread i use.But i wasn't lucky, I think.

Listo para ser enmarcado.

Now is ready to be frame .

De mi abuela / From my grandmother

Buscando unos hilos encontré este tesorito que tengo de mi abuela, un pañuelo hecho por ella hace unos 20 años aproximadamente. Como ven en esta foto el punto es bastante pequeño, y solo una esquina tiene un triángulo de randa.

Looking for some threads, I found this little treasure that I have from my grandmother, a handkerchief she had made 20 years ago approx. As you see in this picture the mesh is so small, and only one corner has the randa lace triangle.

La puntilla que tiene alrededor tiene sólo 1 cm. de ancho.

The point lace that it has around is 3/8" wide.

Y yo en qué me ocupo estos días?, en mi bordado en punto cruz.

Me gusta mucho este diseño de encaje. Todavía me falta bastante. Lo estoy bordando en lino 32 ct. con hilo blanco.

And what I do in this days?, in my cross stitch embroidery.

I like a lot lace design. I'm still have a lot to embroider.

I'm using white thread and 32 ct. Linen.

Y este es mi trabajo terminado de LHN "Curly Q Ewe".

Como notan las que ya lo conocen, cambié algunos colores.

Me encantan los trabajos de esta diseñadora, así que pronto buscaré otro para bordar.

I finished the LHN " Curly Q Ewe".

As you see, I changed some of the color floss.

I love the works of this designer, so I'll look for more to embroider.
