Ya llegó / She has it !!

Finally I can show this pictures. It is my present for Baboo, in Hungary, it is part of a SWAP organised by Nina.

It is a pinkeep with a pocket for the scissor and a fob.

Por fin les puedo mostrar estas fotos de mi regalo para Baboo, de Hungría. Estoy participando de un Intercambio organizado por Nina.

Estoy muy contenta que a ella le guste !! Es un porta agujas con un bolsillo para la tijera y un fob para ponérselo a la tijera.

I made a piece of lace to embellish it.

Hice una pequeña puntilla para adornarlo un poquito.

One of this days I will make one for me, I glad with the result of this one.

Ya terminé esta randa. Fue bastante fácil de hacer, después de haber intentado encaje a bolillos, porque todavía estoy aprendiendo :) I finish this randa.It was easy to do, after my attempt with the bobbin lace, what I'm still learning :)

El tamaño de esta carpeta es de 20 cm. de diámetro. The size of this doily is 8" diameter.

Ya tejí mi próximo proyecto. Por ahora sólo puedo mostrate esta foto. Van a ser dos puntillas diferentes . Estuve un poco inspirada, las hice más anchas en el centro. Hasta prontito !! Feliz semana.

Les paso a contar lo que hice en estas semanas.

Este es mi avance en el bordado de mi última randa.

I will like to show you what I made during the past weeks.

This is my last randa and how I'm embroider it.

Esta es mi práctica en encaje a bolillos.Traté de hacer trenzas,hojas de guipur y picots, pero no es tan fácil.

This is my practice in bobbin lace. I try to do picots,braids and guipur leafs, but is not that easy

Mi segundo intento, salió un poco mejor, pero todavía no estoy satisfecha.

My second exercise,it is a bit better, but I'm not satisfied yet.

Y en cuanto a mi bordado de punto cruz. Ella ya tiene más compañía. Sólo faltan unos pocos puntos para terminar.

About my cross stitch work, she got more company. Just few more stitches for finish it.

Tejiendo y bordando / Knitting and embroidery

Para aquellas personas que todavía tengan dudas sobre cómo se hace la randa, aquí les muestro un poco el proceso.

Hace unas semanas una amiga me regaló un bastidor redondo, de 60 cm. de diámetro. Nunca hice una randa de este tamaño, pero hay una primera vez para todo. Así que me puse manos a la obra. Estoy tejiendo la malla, que por ahora tiene 20 cm. de diámetro.

For those people who still having questions about how the randa lace is made, I show them here some of the process.

Few weeks ago a friend give me a 24 in. diameter round frame. I never made a randa that size, but there is a first time for everything, don't you think ? So, let's get to work! I'm knitting the mesh, by now it has 8 in. in diameter.

Las ondas que se ven aquí, desaparecerán al tensarla en el bastidor, para bordarla. Y para no aburrirme con un trabajo que me llevara un poco de tiempo terminar, sigo con una randa más pequeña.

The waves that you see here, will disappear wen I tauten in the round frame, to embroider it. Because It is a large project, I continue making a small randa, to keep me inspired.

Ya está en el bastidor y he comenzado a bordar. Como ven, no sigo ningún orden, puedo comenzar por cualquier punto en la randa. Tampoco sigo ningún patrón, voy diseñando a medida que voy bordando. Poco a poco les mostraré mis avances.

This randa is ready in the round frame to embroider. As you see, I don't follow any pattern, I design at the same time I do the embroidery.
